LuxSci has refreshed the look and feel of its Calendar WebAide user interface, bringing the design of the calendar display up to that which people are now seeing in modern calendar interfaces.
Some of the most notable updates include:
- Bar Views: Revised “bar views” for day, work week, and week views. The updated views handle many overlapping events much better by using overlapping, partially transparent bars. The new bar view looks like what you would see on an iPhone or iPad.
- Day View: The “day view” has been updated to show both a “list” of the events happening during the date and the “bar view” of those events. Very easy to see what is going on.
- New List Views: There is new two-tab toggle at the bottom of the calendar display that allows you to quickly switch between “Visual” and “List” views of your events. I.e. the “visual” view would be a bar graph or a monthly calendar, the “list” view is a sorted list of the events happening in the same time range. Each view is useful in different circumstances or preferred by different people; now its easy to have both and switch as needed.
- Custom Work Week: Users can now specify which days should be in their “work weeks”. Choose any subset of the days of the week for your “work week” view.
Many other small enhancements also contribute to a better look and more usability. In the coming weeks, LuxSci will be further extending the usability and functionality of both Calendars and Tasks WebAides, in conjunction with our Mobile Sync service.

LuxSci has extensively revised and enhanced its “AutoResponder” tools to provide a very intuitive interface and some new, advanced features that transform the concept of AutoResponder from your basic “vacation” notice into a customizable, auditable, email response platform.
What is new?
- Custom Response Criteria: AutoResponders can now be linked to Custom Email Filters. This enables you to designate complex criteria for when an AutoResponder will be used. For example, respond based on the sender address, the subject content, body content, header content, message size, etc.
- Audit Trail: Users can now view or download a history of all responses sent by their AutoResponders. This history includes: when the response was sent, to whom, which AutoResponder was used, and the subject of the original email message.
- HTML Editor: For AutoResponders with HTML response body content, this content can now be edited directly using our web-based visual HTML editor tools.
- Many Responders: Users can now create any number of AutoResponders and keep them around to be used as needed. Combined with our scheduling features, you can now have different AutoResponses enabled at different times in the future.

LuxSci has finished updating its Web Interface, giving it a much more modern look via use of some technologies present in most modern web browsers, like Google Chrome, FireFox 3.6+, Safari, Opera 10, and Internet Explorer 9.
The web interface:
- Now is now fully compatible with Internet Explorer 9 and Google Chrome for Mac
- Is fastest in Google Chrome, out of all available web browsers
- Looks best in: Google Chrome, FireFox 3.6+, or Safari 5
- Still looks pretty good in Opera 10 and Internet Explorer 9
- Looks fine in other supported browsers (the interface is backwards compatible with older technologies) like Internet Explorer 6-8, Opera 9, FireFox 2+, and older supported versions of Safari.
