LuxSci’s SecureForm now supports FDF formats when submitting your Adobe PDF Forms to the service. FDF supports the use of modified form data from the server. SecureForm is appropriate for:
- PDF forms distributed using email, a web site, or other means
- People who fill out PDF forms and press a “submit form” button in the form itself
- Receiving filled-in versions of those PDFs securely [or insecurely] to your email inbox
- Sending a [secure] email containing a copy of the filled in form
SecureForm is quick and easy, and is HIPAA-compliant.
LuxSci’s latest update to SecureForm is support for PDFs submitted using “FDF” format through Adobe Acrobat Professional. Now you can submit your form data via FDF (instead of HTML), have that data filled back in to your original Acrobat Professional PDF document, and receive the resulting filled-in form in your inbox. FDF support expands the range of PDF creation software compatible with SecureForm.
In addition, SecureForm now offers the option to receive data in a flattened or unflattened PDF–which is useful if you wish to retain certain interactive functions of your original PDF form such as rollover button-images.
If you need to collect data from PDF forms (or web forms) and have it emailed to you securely [or insecurely], give LuxSci SecureForm a free try.

LuxSci has just added a new feature for accounts using SecureLine end-to-end email encryption. The “SecureLine Escrow Audit Report” provides a downloadable list of all secure messages sent via SecureLine Escrow by all users in the account and includes:
- Sender
- Recipient
- Subject
- Message Size
- Date and Time Sent
- Date and Time the message expires from Escrow
- Date and Time the message was last viewed by the recipient
- IP address of the recipient when the message was last viewed
This report provides account administrators a quick way to globally audit what has been sent and to see what messages have been opened by recipients. It is available in the administrative “Reports” area.

LuxSci customers with our Private Labeling service can customize the look and feel of the web-based user interface. The tools provided for creating custom skins for the web-based interface include a “Look and Feel” wizard which allows picking one of many pre-configured, good looking color schemes to generate a skin branded with your organization name, colors, and optional logo.
The Look and Feel wizard has been updated to provide better looking default skins which now also include default logos for use when you do not yet have your own logo.
Any customer with an existing Private Labeled Theme can update their theme to the new look by simply using the Look and Feel wizard to reset their theme settings.
