High Volume – Approving your “Permitted From Address(es) or Domain(s)”
What if I want to send from any email address in my domain?
You can submit your entire domain to be approved so any email address at your domain is automatically approved as a ‘Permitted From Address’. However, we generally prefer to approve individual addresses.
How does LuxSci approve my entire domain to be used as ‘Permitted From Addresses’?
Under 'My Profile > Permitted From Addresses' there is a section to 'Add All Addresses in a Domain' where we supply a unique A record (in the form of "abc-1.domain.com") pointing to the IP address of your High Volume server. You must you must add that A record to your domain's DNS settings before you attempt to enter your domain into the field provided. When you enter your domain into the field, our system queries your domain's name servers directly to check if that A record is being published, and if so then LuxSci Support Staff are alerted, will validate the request, and approve as appropriate. If the A record is not published when you try to submit your domain, you will be unable to submit it for approval.
How Does LuxSci validate an individual or domain-wide ‘From Address’ approval request?
Once we are notified that you have replied to the confirmation email, we check a few things to ensure your sending will meet our Acceptable Use Policy, including to see if you have a website and what the content is, and to ensure the email address or domain name does not look suspicious or malicious.
Can I send from my personal (Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, Comcast, Verizon etc.) email address?
No, you may only send from a domain you own or are authorized to send from. LuxSci automatically blocks requests to send from these and many other free email provider and Internet Service Provider (ISPs) domains.
How long does it take for LuxSci to approve my ‘Permitted From Address(es) or Domain(s)’?
The process may take up to 24 hours.
