LuxSci now supports MX Logic outbound email filtering for customers who use LuxSci’s shared email hosting services.  MX Logic outbound email filtering services provide:

• Outbound anti-virus scanning
• Outbound scanning of messages for specific keywords or phrases
• Restriction of the types and sizes of attachments permitted
• Addition of a disclaimer

MX Logic outbound filtering for shared email hosting customers  is applied after all of your custom LuxSci outbound email management tools, such as:

• Capturing (i.e. sending copies of all outbound email to an archival or auditor recipient)
• Addition of custom, dynamic tag lines and disclaimers
• Scanning outbound email for unwanted content by keyword, phrase, or regular expression
• Automatic outbound email encryption using SecureLine (PGP, S/MIME, and Escrow)
• Outbound email message size restrictions
• Restrictions to whom your users are allowed to send email
• Anonymization of outbound email messages.

This optional service works for users sending messages via WebMail or SMTP through LuxSci that have purchased MX Logic outbound filtering for their respective domains.   Filtering is as follows:

• The user logs into LuxSci via WebMail or SMTP to send the message
• LuxSci accepts and processes the message
• LuxSci then forwards that message through MX Logic for further filtering
• MX Logic then delivers the message to the ultimate recipients

There are several advantages to using MX Logic outbound filtering as an extension of LuxSci’s email hosting services:

1. You can take advantage of all of LuxSci’s outbound email services, plus MX Logic’s outbound email filtering at the same time.
2. You do not have to maintain a list of IP addresses for allowed senders at MX Logic — just send email though LuxSci as usual.
3. Traveling and remote employees using IP addresses that change frequently can use MX Logic outbound filtering seamlessly.
4. MX Logic outbound filtering is available via the alternate SMTP ports provided by LuxSci’s SMTP services, providing more options when standard port 25 is blocked.

What is not filtered by MX Logic?

• Messages encrypted using SecureLine are not filtered, as their data is encrypted anyway.
• Messages sent to your archival and auditing users via outbound email capturing are not filtered.
• Messages forwarded or sent by your custom LuxSci email filtering settings, including auto responders, are not filtered.

How is this service enabled?

• For LuxSci customers who already have a Premium Email Filtering package that includes Outbound Filtering, this service can be enabled by going to “Account > Account Administration > Domain Administration > Outbound Email Tools > MX Logic Outbound Filtering”.

• For LuxSci customers who have MX Logic services with Outbound Filtering through a third party, this service can be enabled by going to “Account > Account Administration > Domain Administration > Outbound Email Tools > MX Logic Outbound Filtering” after “MX Logic Inbound Lock Down” is first enabled for the domain.
• MX Logic Outbound Filtering is an upgrade option to most Premium Email Filtering packages.
