New: Restrict Which Email Addresses Your Users can Receive Email From
LuxSci’s new “Sender Restriction” feature allows account and domain administrators to exert firm control over which email is delivered to their users. When enabled, this feature permits the specification of:
- An “allowed sender list” of domains and/or email addresses. Email from anyone not on the list will be refused (bounced back to the sender with an error).
- An “denied sender list” of domains and/or email addresses. Email from anyone on this list will be refused (bounced back to the sender with an error).
This new feature is included as part of all email hosting packages for accounts with their own domain names. Administrators can choose to enable this feature and use either one or both of the lists to control senders. I.e. accept email from all but some people or accept email from only specific people.
When combined with the feature giving control over to whom users can send email, this sender restrictions allow a complete lock down the sending and receiving of email in both directions.
- Set up your account for internal email only, or for emailing only between a specific group of people.
- Block correspondence to and from specific addresses or companies.
Administrators of LuxSci accounts can find this new feature in the “Account Administration > Domains > Select a domain > Inbound Email Tools > Sender Restrictions”.
