 Archival-Outlook Integration is Near!
In June, the Message Archiving Service will be expanded with the addition of Outlook 2007 integration. The new feature option will enable Premium Email Archiving Service users to be able to search for, view, and save copies of archived messages directly through their Microsoft Outlook 2007 email client via a new Outlook Integration feature. Outlook Integration will be made available at no charge.
Available to all customers Monday, June 2, 2009, this upgrade will allow users to locate and view archived messages directly through Outlook 2007, without having to log into the Archival Console, making access to the archive faster and easier.

 LuxSci recently had the opportunity to speak with Nate Fitzgerald, Product Manager of Message Archiving at MX Logic. Nate has been with MX Logic for over 2 years and is responsible for their successful archival service. His insight has been invaluable in helping LuxSci get up to speed with all of the technical nuances of this service. There are many reasons why users or administrators might want to have their email data exported and saved to CD or DVD. These include:
- Creation of permanent archives
- Preserving old email that is no longer actively needed, but which should be kept
- Obtaining copies of email data for legal proceedings
- To reduce server disk space usage
- To migrate data to another provider or an in-house solution

LuxSci now offers a Premium Email Archival solution for businesses that are required to monitor, store and retrieve company email messages in order to comply with electronic security regulations. LuxSci’s inbound email capturing tool has always allowed account administrators to optionally forward copies of all inbound email to a single email address of their choice for auditing, archival, or backup purposes. This update to the inbound email capturing functionality allows account administrators to optionally forward copies of all inbound email to users of their domains to the respective users in any other specified domain. I.e. copies of all email to user.com could be sent to user.com for each distinct “user” in yourdomain.com. This features provides more flexibility in using our inbound email capturing tool for backup and archival purposes; you can enable user to user forwarding of this kind for tens, hundreds, or thousands of users with just seconds of total configuration effort!

LuxSci’s Folder Management tool (under your email menu) has always supported the “rolling” of folders to dated archival copies on a weekly or monthly basis. This tool has been revised to allow you to configure the interval for archival folder creation to be: daily, weekly, monthly, every several months (2, 3, 4, or 6 months), or yearly. This allows you greater flexibility in managing your email archives.
