LuxSci has released a new set of tools that will give customers better and easier access to manage their MySQL databases. Using the LuxSci web interface, customers are now able to issue SQL commands and queries, upload batches of SQL commands (i.e. mysqldump files), download backups of their databases (i.e. as mysqdump files), and quickly empty their databases of all tables.
These tools are available under the “Account – Account Administration – Databases” area.

LuxSci’s WebAide Calendars now support on-demand and automatic import of calendar data from external calendar sources published as iCal files.
If you have a calendar, i.e. from Google or some other company, which is accessible as an iCal file via a web link, then you can now pull that calendar data into your LuxSci WebAide calendars manually or continuously.

We at LuxSci are always being asked questions about various email programs and their usage. With HIPAA compliance becoming more and more important, we get a lot of inquiries regarding secure email. One of the most frequently asked questions is how to install S/MIME security certificates in various email programs that our servers support. Sometimes finding instructions on installing security certificates in various email clients is difficult, even with the help of search engines. To make your search easier, we have complied instructions for several of the the major email clients:
- S/MIME for Outlook 2003

- S/MIME for Mail.app
- S/MIME for Entourage
- S/MIME for Thunderbird
- PGP for Thunderbird via the Enigmail Add-on.

LuxSci’s WebAide Blogs, Notes, and Links have been updated to support importing of entries from RSS 2.0 files and from CSV files (i.e. files exportable from spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel). It is now very easy to both export and import data from all of these types of collaborative tools.

In keeping with the recent improvements to our WebAide Address Books and Calendars, LuxSci is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of its WebAideSynch plugin for Microsoft Outlook. This version addresses several stability issues and bugs and also includes more robust support for entries containing content in most languages.

LuxSci now permits account administrators to create and delete aliases in bulk. Bulk alias creation can be don via forms or via CSV file uploads. Combined with our CSV alias report feature, it is now very easy to download your alias list, edit it in a spreadsheet program, and then re-import all the changes in bulk.

LuxSci has released several new tools to assist account administrators. These include: Bulk user deletion and CSV downloads of information about all or selected users, aliases, and domains in your account. These functions were previously also available via LuxSci’s API; they are now also available to via our regular web-based administrative interface.

LuxSci has released a new AJAX-based bulk user creation tool that enables administrators to easily add users to their accounts in bulk by either entering details in a multi-user creation form, or by uploading Comma- or Tab-delimited text files.
