Relocation to Rackspace:
We have completed our move to brand new dedicated
servers at Rackspace.com. This new data center provides a faster and
more redundant network, "fanatical" 24/7 technical support, and superb
service level agreements. Our hardware is guaranteed to be replaced
within 2 hours upon failure. Our servers are being monitored 24/7 so
that they may be corrected very quickly upon malfunction.
We have also completely separated our email services from our web and
database services. We are now completely scalable to
any number of clients and support clients who may need their own
dedicated servers. We hope these improvements greatly enhance the
speed, reliability, and robustness of our service offerings.
Managed Dedicated Servers:
We now provide dedicated web, email and database hosting
services on Linux and Windows platforms. If you need your own dedicated
server(s), we can provide you with a cost effective
managed solution, fully
compatible with all our member's tools: WebMail, Content Management, etc.
Contact us for a free consultation and estimate.
Become a Reseller:
Sell web and email hosting services yourself! Using our branding tools,
you can provide your clients with all the features we
provide you: WebMail, Web Site Statistics, Content Management, Help, etc.
You purchase overall disk, bandwidth, web site and user quotas from us
and resell them to your clients. See Resales.
Email Aliases:
- The Email Alias Manager now allows you to specify more than 1
destination email address for your aliases, catch-alls, and forwards! Now,
you can have addresses like "sales" directed to multiple people.
There is a limit of 5 destination addresses per alias, unless you request
special permission for more recipients.
- You can also forward your email from your WebMail Preferences to up to
5 destination addresses.
- You can now create up to 4 email aliases at once using the Email
Alias Manager
Domain Information:
Now, account managers can view status, DNS, and domain registry information
for any of their domains with our new domain information tool located
in the "Account" menu. Account managers should also check out the
completely revised account summary page.

Web Site Manager:
We now provide a web site management tool for our
web hosting clients under the "Web Site" menu. Using this tool,
you can enable web access log delivery to your account, and manipulate
various features of each of your web sites: what directories they are
located in, enable/disable server-side includes, etc.

Private Label:
We now permit complete "branding" or
private labeling of our web site for
any company or group. A private labeled interface allows you to provide a
completely customizes the look and feel to all online applications:
WebMail, Account Management, Web Site Management, Content Management, Help,
etc. Our company name name and all related colors, images, fonts, etc. can
be completely eliminated from all web pages, including the login page.
Your group would have its own completely personalized, secure web site for
WebMail and more.
24/7 Upgrades:
We now provide an online tool for upgrading your account's disk, bandwidth,
and user quotas. Use this in combination with the new User Management
tools (described below) to add users to you account at any time. This
service is available to account managers.
User Management:
Our user management tools have been greatly expanded. You can now add new
users to your account (provided you have space in your user quota), delete
users from your account, disable users, enable users, and edit users. All
of these actions can be performed by you at any time without help from
support.
View/Edit users: Update the user's contact information.
Change the user's entitlements. Give users and optional disk quotas.
Disable users: Temporarily prevent a user from accessing
ANY services.
User Quotas: New optional user-level disk quotas allow
you to prevent a user from using too much disk space. If the user exceeds
his or her disk quota, the user is penalized by being denied access to
SMTP Relaying, FTP, and SSH services. Any incoming email for that user
will not be delivered, but bounced back to the sender. The user will not
be allowed to upload files using the File Manager. WebMail will no longer
save copies of sent email the user's sent-mail folder.
Change User Passwords: If you have the need to manage the
passwords for the users of your account, then we can entitle you to be
able to change any of their passwords through the User Manager.
Security: We have made the following
security-related policy changes:
SMTP Relaying. We now require SMTP Authentication
for the sending of email through our email servers. Previously we
authenticated outbound email based on a list of approved client IP
addresses, but this proved too limiting, cumbersome, and less secure than
SMTP Authentication.
Telnet. We no longer support "telnet" shell
access. This type of access is very insecure because all usernames,
passwords and data is sent as plain text across the Internet. If you
require shell access for some reason, we will continue to support access
via secure shell (ssh).
The new User Manager tools now give account managers the
power to enable or disable access to various services on a per-user basis.
These services include: Secure Shell, POP, IMAP, SMTP Relaying, and access
to the member's web site.
WebMail: There are now two new WebMail
Preferences: you can enable or disable display of the "BCC" field and your
WebMail Address Book in the email composition window. If you do not use
either or these features, you can disable them to simplify your email
composition window.
The Display of the WebMail Address Book has changed in the
email composition window. It is now a "multiple select list," which means
that you can now highlight more than one address at a time and add all
highlight addresses to your "To", "Cc", or "Bcc" fields at once, making
email composition simpler.

Auto-Responders:
An "Auto-Responder," also know as an "Out of Office Reply," is a mechanism
by which you can create special email messages to be sent automatically to
those who send email messages to you. This is particularly useful, for
example, if you will be unable to check or respond to your email for an
extended period of time and you want to let the people who send you email
know that you are "out of the office" or "on vacation", etc.
Our Auto-Responders are free and consist of the following
features:
- Specify different automatic response messages depending on the
email address and/or domain to whom the incoming message was originally
addressed (useful if you receive email for multiple email addresses in
your InfiniteDimensions mailbox).
- Specify a "catch all" automatic response message.
- Specify the subject and body of each response message.
- Apply your signatures to the response messages.
- Activate / deactivate automatic responses individually, or all at once.
WebMail:
In addition to numerous look-and-feel enhancements, we have added the
following new features to WebMail. Please see your
WebMail Preferences screen to customize the new preferences related to
these and other options.
- Read Message Receipts:
When sending email you can request that a receipt email be sent to you
when the recipient reads the message (requires that the recipient consent
to the receipt and that his email client supports them).
When reading email messages, you can now respond to Read Receipt requests.
You can set your preferences so that you never respond [the default],
always respond, or are asked each time a receipt is requested.
- Sorting your email messages:
You can now sort the email messages in your folders by date, subject,
or sender in an ascending or descending fashion. You can specify the
default sorting in your WebMail Preferences. You can also change the
sorting dynamically while displaying the messages in your folders.
- Message Importance Flags:
When sending an email you can now designate it as of Normal, High, or Low
importance. Most email clients display special flags next to messages
marked as of high or low importance.
WebMail now also recognizes and indicates the
importance of you messages: A red "!" for High importance messages,
and a blue down arrow for Low importance messages.
Bulk Email Tool:
The Bulk Email Sending tool allows you to send an
email of any size with arbitrary attachments to an email list. Here are
some of the features:
- Each recipient receives a message sent individually TO him or her;
the messages are not sent via BCC or via an email list alias. The
"To:" header will actually contain the recipient's email address -
they cannot tell that this is a bulk email.
- Send messages of any size to any number of recipients.
- Apply your signatures to the messages to customize the From and
Reply-To fields of the message.
- Upload your email list from a text file, or use a list stored in one of
your database tables.
- Send yourself a test version of the bulk email before scheduling the
actual bulk send.
- View a history of bulk emailings; create a new bulk emailing using a
previous one as a template, simplifying your work!
The Bulk Email Sending Service is a fee-based service
that allows you to send email to an arbitrary number of people. It is
primarily intended to sending email newsletters, announcements, and
similar mail to opt-in email lists. We absolutely prohibit
use to this service for spamming, or the sending of unwanted or unsolicited
email; use for such purposes may result in account cancellation,
deactivation, or worse. See the our AUP.
Please note: to ensure that this service is not employed for malicious
purposes such as spamming, the content of all messages sent may be
monitored.
Fetch POP Email:
If you have email addresses or email boxes that can be accessed via the
POP3 protocol, then you can configure
WebMail to easily preview and download mail from
any or all of these accounts to any of your email folders.
This enables you to consolidate email from all of your different email
accounts into one place.
