Prices start depend on the numbers and kinds of servers that you will need in your POD. Usually, PODs cost $5,000 to $10,000/mo or more. A one-year minimum contract is also required.

Each POD client receives a package customized to their requirements. All of the features listed here are available, but not necessarily required. If you have additional requirements, we will try our best to accommodate.

No explicit limits on number of users or disk space that you can use, subject to what your server(s) can handle. You pay only based on the number and type of dedicated servers and other services that you need.

A Complete Feature Set: You may receive all of the standard features of our shared email services, including IMAP, POP3, SMTP, WebMail, Email Aliases, Email Forwarding, Auto Responders, Address Books, Calendars, Security, Xpress portal, and much more. Complete IT Outsourcing: Our custom email and WebMail software will be installed on a set of dedicated servers. We will manage the administration, security, backups, upgrades, and all aspects of these servers and the software used on them. This aspect of our service is very similar to our managed dedicated servers offering. You do not have to have a technical staff on hand to manage your organization's email.

Security: For the security-conscious organization, we offer Secure SMTP, Secure IMAP, Secure POP3, Secure WebMail and other features to ensure the integrity and privacy of your email. All servers are secured by firewalls and access is restricted to essential support personnel.

Optional Spam and Virus Filtering: Our services can be combined with our web-configurable premium anti-Spam and anti-Virus filtering services. See our Email Defense service. Alternately, you could employ our basic filtering services on your dedicated servers.

International & Multi-lingual: Our WebMail application is Internationalized. It supports user-level customization of time zone, date and time display formats, and language. We currently support many languages, such as English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Ukrainian, and Italian. We can easily add other languages should you need them.

Identify Your Needs: Based on your requirements, we will determine what servers, software, and hardware will best suit your current and future needs. We will develop a proposal and quote that will satisfy your requirements in a robust and cost effective way.

Provide Customizations: We can provide support and integration with your existing infrastructure by customizing our application and working with your technicians to provide a seamless coexistence with your organization. Some common customizations include:

Unified Login: You have an existing web site for your users and you want to provide email services to them. You would like them to login to your web site and then be able to access their email without re-authenticating. We have several ways of providing this capability.

User Synchronization: You have an existing web site and database of users. You want to manage the addition, deletion, and editing of these users from your web site and not ours. We have several ways of implementing this database synchronization; for example, XML messages passed from your site to ours indicating any change.

Private Labeled WebMail: Our WebMail services are quite flexible. We will help you customize them for maximum integration with your current web site or for the best representation of your requirements.

Your servers will be located in the Rackspace data center in your choice of San Antonio, Texas; Dallas, Texas; or London, England.

Security: Stateful packet-filtering firewalls are standard on all servers. We can also provide separate Cisco firewalls and intrusion detection systems for maximum security.

Privacy: Your servers will have a high-speed private network so that all inter-server communication is secure and fast.

Backups: LuxSci can provide several different levels of backup, depending on your requirements. These include: nightly disk mirroring, tape backups, off-site disk mirroring, and off-site tape backup rotations.

Load Balancing: If you have a lot of users or require redundancy, we provide fail-over load balancing via additional servers, fail-over load balancers, and a fast storage area network.

Network: Our state-of-the-art network is fully switched using Cisco network gear and is engineered with full redundancy to ensure there is no single point of failure. The network is multi-homed with DS3 to OC12 connections through AT&T, UUnet, Qwest, Time Warner Telecom, and SBC, providing fast, reliable connectivity.

Conditioned Power: Power systems in the data centers are designed to run uninterrupted even in the unlikely event of a total power outage. All servers are fed with conditioned UPS (Uninterpretable Power Supply) power that will run if utility power fails. The UPS power subsystem is N+1 redundant with instantaneous fail-over in case the primary UPS fails. In the event of an extended power outage, an on-site diesel generator can run indefinitely.

Pro-active monitoring: we will monitor your servers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our experienced technicians will automatically fix any problems that occur. If you notice any problems with the servers, you can contact our support number at any time.
