Advanced features, such as tasks, other kinds of WebAides, and fine-grained sharing controls require purchasing a license.
These can be obtained a-la-cart for just the users who need them.
The following features are available in all types of WebAides.
However, some are only available to users who have a WebAide license (i.e.
"Premium Features").
This section describes in detail the pricing and licensing for LuxSci
WebAides. In particular, it also describes exactly what features of Web
Aides are available to users without licenses.
Enterprise WebAide License Prices:
The retail price of a single user Enterprise WebAide license is
$1.75/month or $17.50/year. This
grants the user full access to all WebAide features.
Prices can be reduced if you buy in bulk or get a dedicated server —
see our price list.
Note that the disk space used by each user's WebAides counts towards
that user's individual disk space limit and the disk usage of the account as a
whole.
Services Available to Non-Licensed Users.
The following WebAide services are available to users
even if they do not have a WebAide license. I.e. all email
hosting users have access to these services. For more details on
free vs. premium services, see the "Feature List" tab, above.
Address Books: All users get their own personal
WebAide Address Book. The only limitations placed on non-licensed users

Non-licensed users cannot add attachments to their address book entries.
Non-licensed users can share their personal address books but only globally with their entire domain or account.
The cannot specify specific access controls for specific users or groups or users.

what level of access the other licensed users have. Licensed users can
also share their WebAides with non-licensed users.
New Clients: When ordering using from our Prices & Packages page, be sure to check "WebAides" as an optional
service. If not available in the package that you select, you can always add it after proceeding
to checkout by clicking on the "Revise Order" tab in the checkout area.
Generally, you can either choose to buy an exact
number of Enterprise WebAide licenses, or get Enterprise
WebAide licenses "for all users".
If you want all users to have Enterprise WebAide licenses, the "for
all users" option is very convenient as it will automatically grant the
users these licenses as they are created. It will also build the price of
WebAides into the per-user price so that if and when you add new users, they
will automatically get WebAide licenses.
If you specify an exact number of WebAide licenses, you will need to
assign these to users explicitly after your have created the users in
question.
You an also add "WebAides" to any email or web hosting package using
the "Revise Order" tab on the order confirmation page.
Existing Clients: Login to LuxSci as an account
administrator and use the "Upgrade Account" tool under the account menu.
There you can add any number of additional Enterprise WebAide licenses to
your account.
Once you have purchased the additional Enterprise WebAide Licenses,
you can assign them to users of your choice via the "User Configuration"
sub page of the "User Management" account administration pages.
Our WebAide user interface is fully integrated with WebMail and takes
advantage of modern web browser features (like AJAX and browser-based
storage) for ease of use and a powerful feature set. Some user interface
features include: remembering entry data for fast display, dragging and
dropping of entries, instant searching and sorting, fast entry creation,
entry tagging and color coding, selecting multiple entries or multiple
WebAides using the mouse, and selecting, re-sizing, and re-arranging list
columns using the mouse.
You can tag your entries with any number of labels to aid in sorting,
searching, and categorization. The same tag system is used across all
WebAides and in WebMail for your email messages. Users can also specify
colors for their tags so that entries tagged with them will be visually
distinct.
LuxSci performs automated backups of all WebAides and keeps
daily copies of these backups for 2 days and weekly copies for 4 weeks.
LuxSci support can restore the content of any of your WebAides at any
time from these backups. Additionally, users can manually make their own
backups of any of their WebAides for offline storage or
archival. These backup files can be later restored by the user (or any
user with access to it) any time that data is needed.
Users with access to multiple WebAides of the same type, i.e. multiple
calendars, can view all entries for any arbitrary combination of these
WebAides in a single "consolidated" view. This makes it easy to search
and sort across WebAides, print combined lists, and view data from
different sources in the same list.
Only people with a login
to LuxSci's web site can possibly access your WebAide (it is not public,
unless you explicitly "publish" its content via a public link). You can
specify exactly who has permission to view, add entries, edit entries,
make comments, and administer your WebAide. You can specify this on a per
user, per user group, and/or per account basis. You can share your WebAide
with other members of your account and/or members of other accounts -- you
decide.
In addition to our access controls which allow you to specify exactly
who can see your information, LuxSci has a very strict privacy policy - our technical support staff
will never access your WebAide data without your prior consent.
Users can easily share WebAides with everyone in their domain or
account. Access permissions such as read, edit, create, delete, and
comment can be granted or denied. Administrators can auto-subscribe their
users to WebAides.
Share your Webaides with specific users or User Groups. Specify access
permissions such as read, edit, create, delete, and comment on a per-user
or per-group basis. Complex sharing arrangements can be easily set up
with arbitrary access permissions for different groups and users.
Unlicensed users get a single personal address book and calendar and can
access any WebAides shared with them by other users. However, only
licensed users can create additional adress books, calendars, and other
types of WebAides. Licensed-users can create any number of
WebAides of each type; every WebAide instance is independent and has its
own sharing properties and entries.
Every user with access to the WebMail portal gets a personal address book.
This address book can be shared globally with everyone in the user's
domain or account. It is easy and free to have a global address book.

content. Entries encrypted via PGP are very secure. Even the technical
staff cannot access their content without access to your PGP key password
(which is never saved in plain text on our servers).
You can provide HTML-formatted annotations and
comments along with each file. Each file can have any number of
comments created by any number of permitted users. These comments can themselves
also contain file attachments and be encrypted.

personal PGP security certificates using our security tools and then they
can easily create the encrypted password entries. Supports the
specification of exactly who will be allowed to decrypt the files on a

content. Entries encrypted via PGP are very secure. Even the technical
staff cannot access their content without access to your PGP key password
(which is never saved in plain text on our servers).

"Notes" field. A visual editor for entering and editing the comments is
included.
You can provide HTML-formatted annotations and comments along with each
password entry. Each entry can have any number of comments created by any
number of permitted users. These comments can themselves also contain file
attachments and will all be encrypted.

they have access to and view the data in an HTML grid or save it as a CSV
file. With this feature, it is easy to backup all of your password data,
even though each entry is individually encrypted with possibly different
keys.
Users need to have a WebAide license in order to create their own Links
WebAides. However, even without a license, users can access Links WebAides

Users need to have a WebAide license in order to create their own Groups
WebAides. However, even without a license, users can access Groups WebAides
if these are shared with them by other users.
Once you create Groups of users in a User Groups
WebAide, you can share other WebAides and Email Folders with those Groups
using the Sharing properties of those objects. This allows you to
specify access control settings on a Group-wide basis. In particular,
once you have setup the access privileges for a given Group, you do
not have to configure anything on a per-user basis. Merely adding or
removing users from the Group will add and remove all respective
permissions from those users.
Each Group can have its own
PGP security certificate. When making encrypted WebAide entries (i.e. in
Blogs, Documents, or Passwords WebAides), one must
choose explicitly who will be able to view/decrypt the resulting entry. If you
have a Group with its own certificate, then you can select the
Group as a recipient. Then, any member of the group can access the
encrypted entry as long as they know the password to the Group security certificate.
In particular, this means that if you add or remove users from the Group,
they immediately gain or lose access to these encrypted entries without
the necessity of re-encrypting all the entries for the new users. With
this feature, use of encryption among large groups of people becomes
feasible and easy.
A Group can be associated with an email Distribution List. This is an email
address that forwards copies of all email sent to it to the users in the
distribution list. By managing the Group membership, you also manage the
distribution list recipients.
