Email Alias Management Enhancements

LuxSci has re-tooled its email alias management interface from the ground up to make it faster, more powerful, and more consistent with many of its other administrative interfaces.

Email aliases are addresses in your domain that do not correspond to a physical user, but which may deliver email to one or more addresses or deny email with a custom message.  E.g. “sales@yourdomain.com” might not be an actual person — it might just forward email to a few of your employees.  The LuxSci Email Alias Management tools enables administrators to create, edit, and delete these kinds of email flow rules for all email addresses in all domains in their account — Aliases, Domain Catchall Rules, User email forwarding rules, and WebAide User Group mailing list rules — all in once place.

Three Kinds of Distribution Lists

Many of our clients prefer and sometimes require the use of  “Distribution Lists” to send email messages to multiple recipients.

We are often asked if LuxSci supports “Distribution Lists”.  The answer is “Yes”, and we have three different approaches to send email messages to pre-defined lists of recipients.  We feel that is helpful to present each solution using the same requirements and to compare the relative merits of each.

User Group Distribution Lists are Here

Group Distribution ListLuxSci has added a new, often requested feature to its User Groups collaboration tools — the ability to associate an “email address” with the User Group so that all messages sent to that custom email address are forwarded to all members of the User Group.  This is a Group Distribution List.

Bulk Email Alias Management

LuxSci now permits account administrators to create and delete aliases in bulk. Bulk alias creation can be don via forms or via CSV file uploads. Combined with our CSV alias report feature, it is now very easy to download your alias list, edit it in a spreadsheet program, and then re-import all the changes in bulk.

New Reporting Feature & Message Archival

New Reporting Feature: LuxSci has released a new reporting feature making CSV downloads of all or selected aliases and forwards in an account a snap.

Archive Messages: LuxSci has added an "Archive" button feature to WebMail making it easy to save selected messages to a single "Archive" folder for later access.
