Mobile Device Access to your Password Library

Friday, April 6th, 2012

LuxSci’s Passwords WebAide allows you to access the myriads of complex or not-so-complex passwords to web sites and programs in a central location that you can access anytime, anyplace,  to look up your passwords.

What’s the benefit?

  • Centralized Online Access — get to your passwords from any computer connected to the Internet.
  • One Password to Rule Them All — All password data is PGP-encrypted and you can open it all with just one password; LuxSci-staff cannot even access the data without you providing them the special password.  You only have to remember one password.
  • Backed up — LuxSci automatically makes daily and weekly backups to geographically separate locations for you.   We can always restore lost data, if needed.

New: Mobile Access to Passwords

LuxSci’s Mobile Site now supports access to your Password WebAides.  You can now view your password data from any device using our slick, quick, Mobile Web Interface.

On-the-go access to password data from phones and tablets has been an often-requested feature.  Now it’s here.

Soon, we will expand the Mobile Site to allow for the creation and editing of stored WebAide Password data as well.

Mobile Site Access to Encrypted Blogs and Files

Friday, April 6th, 2012

LuxSci’s Blog and File/Document WebAides have a great feature to optionally encrypt individual entries:

  • The File and Blog entry data is PGP-encrypted “at rest” (while stored on the servers).
  • Only your specified recipients (users or groups of users) can decrypt the data (even LuxSci staff cannot decrypt the data unless you give us your passwords).
  • Ideal for HIPAA or the storage of other very sensitive data.

While encrypted entries have been available for many years, access to the encrypted data via LuxSci’s Mobile Site is new.  Users can now login from their mobile device to our fast and slick mobile portal and unlock this data, view the secure content, and download decrypted files.

You no longer have to be separated from your sensitive data, just because all you have on you is your phone!

The Mobile Site will soon be expanded to enable editing and creation of new secure entries as well.

Monday, March 26th, 2012

LuxSci’s Mobile Site provides a fast and simplified interface for mobile devices and desktop web browsers.   While the Mobile Site has always supported secure connections (over SSL) to prevent eavesdropping on passwords and data; the Mobile Site did not support LuxSci’s SecureLine end-to-end email encryption features.  These are now part of the Mobile Site.

All new LuxSci “Mobile Site” for mobile web-based access .

Saturday, February 18th, 2012

LuxSci has had a “mobile site” for a long time — called the “Xpress Portal”.  The Xpress portal was designed for narrow interfaces and did not use any JavaScript or cookies — to make browsing fast, simple, and work on almost any device.  However, the Xpress portal was getting dated and not taking advantages of the features present in modern mobile devices (e.g. iPhones, iPads, Androids, etc.)

LuxSci has revised the Xpress portal from the ground up.  It is now simply called the Luxsci “Mobile Site”.  The Mobile Site:
