Email Distribution Lists at LuxSci

We are frequently asked how to create and manage email distribution lists at LuxSci.
Distribution lists are email addresses, like “allstaff@your-domain.com” that accept inbound email and then forward (distribute) those messages to one or more different email addresses, so that everyone on the list gets a copy of the message.
At LuxSci there are three ways to setup a distribution list, each having its own particular benefits. These include:
- Email Aliases distributing to multiple arbitrary addresses
- Groups of people in your account
- Custom rules that forward email only under certain circumstances
We have seen a steadily growing demand from existing and potential clients to send legitimate bulk mailings to their clients and subscribers.  LuxSci’s policy has always been to deny such requests and pass them along to a strategic partner, or to allow them on a case by case basis at a premium cost after carefully reviewing the intent.  Why? So that the outbound email servers used by our premium customers do not get on blacklists.  You don’t want to mix mass mailing with normal business correspondence!
