LuxSci has updated its “File Manager” tool, which provides a secure web-based interface for managing files in a user’s “FTP Space”. This tool is a good alternative to FTP when additional security and auditing is required or for file access without the need for a third party FTP (or SFTP) program is desirable.

LuxSci has added a new “Account Setup Wizards” area to its administration control panel. This area brings together all of the various tools for “adding things” all into one place. Additionally, the tools for adding users, domains, web sites, and databases have been completely re-written to make the administrator’s job easier, faster, and more intuitive. Lets hear it for usability!

LuxSci’s Passwords WebAide, which has been extensively updated, makes it quick and easy to securely store all of your numerous passwords in one central location, and to share access to these with other users on a per-password basis, if needed. We’ve just made it very easy to also export your saved encrypted passwords from the Passwords WebAide. Use this feature to make your own backups of password lists, plus get printer friendly lists of those passwords to save in a secure location or to use as a reference when updating passwords.

LuxSci has added plug-ins to its WebMail application in version 10.10 of LuxSci’s software which includes two JAVA applets. So, were we hesitant to add JAVA applets, FLASH, ActiveX, and other plugins in the first place? And why the sudden change of heart? What does this mean for our customers who are concerned about security or who do not want or cannot use JAVA applets?

LuxSci now permits account administrators to create and delete aliases in bulk. Bulk alias creation can be don via forms or via CSV file uploads. Combined with our CSV alias report feature, it is now very easy to download your alias list, edit it in a spreadsheet program, and then re-import all the changes in bulk.

LuxSci has released several new tools to assist account administrators. These include: Bulk user deletion and CSV downloads of information about all or selected users, aliases, and domains in your account. These functions were previously also available via LuxSci’s API; they are now also available to via our regular web-based administrative interface.

LuxSci has released a new AJAX-based bulk user creation tool that enables administrators to easily add users to their accounts in bulk by either entering details in a multi-user creation form, or by uploading Comma- or Tab-delimited text files.
