We recently had an interesting use case posed to us by an existing customer.  They are a chain of restaurants and they need:

1. The managers of these restaurants to fill out an online form nightly

2. The form data to be transmitted securely and saved

3. To be able to securely download a spreadsheet of all of the submitted form data in the morning.

They wanted to know if there was any existing solution for this scenario … and how complicated it might be to set up.

Combine Multiple Stored CSV Files into a Single Merged CSV File For Export

LuxSci has added a new tool to its Document WebAides for downloading multiple CSV files in one merged file. This will aggregate data from all selected files, sorting alphabetically by column, and will automatically prompt you to download it once the merge is complete.

This feature is especially useful to SecureForm users who are storing form data in WebAides in CSV format and wish to download it all at once.

Look for the “Download Merged CSV” option in the Entries dropdown menu in the Document WebAides interface.

Import CSV and RSS Files into Blogs, Notes, and Links

LuxSci’s WebAide Blogs, Notes, and Links have been updated to support importing of entries from RSS 2.0 files and from CSV files (i.e. files exportable from spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel).  It is now very easy to both export and import data from all of these types of collaborative tools.

LuxSci’s Passwords WebAide, which has been extensively updated,  makes it quick and easy to securely store all of your numerous passwords in one central location, and to share access to these with other users on a per-password basis, if needed.  We’ve just made it very easy to also export your saved encrypted passwords from the Passwords WebAide.  Use this feature to make your own backups of password lists, plus get printer friendly lists of those passwords to save in a secure location or to use as a reference when updating passwords.

Bulk Email Alias Management

LuxSci now permits account administrators to create and delete aliases in bulk. Bulk alias creation can be don via forms or via CSV file uploads. Combined with our CSV alias report feature, it is now very easy to download your alias list, edit it in a spreadsheet program, and then re-import all the changes in bulk.
