Support Tickets On-the-Go
LuxSci has improved its Support Ticketing interface in the Xpress WebMail portal to function and display well on mobile devices such as the iPhone and Blackberry. Xpress users can now easily submit Support requests or questions using their mobile device or smart phone via a slim new interface. In addition, all LuxSci pages displaying a tree-menu layout of links (e.g. Preferences, Email Tools and Support Tickets pages) have been updated to minimize the display width of these pages.

The significant updates to the Xpress mobile portal include:
- Simplifications and reformatting of Xpress Support Ticket pages so that they are one column wide and display well on very narrow screens. The revised pages include the open and closed tickets lists, the create or update ticket pages, and the ticket search page.
- The tree menu layouts in all Xpress portal pages have been replaced with a select list of the same links that would have appeared in the tree.
- The “Submit New Article”, “Comment on this Article”, and “Email this Article” options have been removed from the Xpress Help section.
In addition to being designed for use with mobile devices, the Xpress WebMail portal:
- Works in any normal web browser.
- Uses very few images (and is therefore very quick to load pages).
- Does not use any JavaScript (and is thus fast and more secure).
- Does not use any cookies (good for privacy).
- Does not include administrative or advanced features present in the regular WebMail portal, making it simpler and easier to use.
So, we recommend Xpress if you have a slow connection, an old or unsupported web browser*, are very security or privacy conscious or are using an iPhone or other PDA.
* We support FireFox v2+, Internet Explorer v6+, Opera v9.5+, Safari v3+, and Google Chrome v1+.
